2. Avoid any casual clothing. The male students must wear the pair of slacks and khakis all along with the dress shirt & tie. Suit jacket is generally unnecessary. The female students must wear dress, skirt and blouse, or a blouse and slacks.
3. Gowns for the female students might come with "fake" collar, which you can wear around neckline of a gown.
4. The graduates must wear the dress shoes and female students must avoid any excessively high heels and other shoes, which can make walking over the stage perilous.
5. Plan the hairstyle that will not interfere with placement of a cap. For example, ponytail may make it sit far forward and girls will attach cap to their hair and with the bobby pins.
6. Dress for temperature. That depends on your location, late May or June graduation ceremony is warm or else swelteringly hot. Ceremony might be outdoors or else in air conditioned facility.
